SCIENCE

Cannabidiol (CBD) is one of over 100 different Cannabinoids that are extracted from agricultural hemp and cannabis. This cannabinoid does not contain the same psychoactive compounds that give the “high” effect that is in THC, which is why CBD is known as the "medicinal compound" of the plant.

Studies have shown that CBD  treats pains, aches, anxiety, stress and is known for treating gout, skin inflammations, and muscular/joint pain. According to the U.S. National Library of Medicine, cannabidiol has been shown to even treat seizures and syndromes such as Dravet and Lennox-Gastaut disease! How is this all possible? The human body contains the Endocannabinoid System (ECS system) and already produces cannabinoids daily which are regulated by two receptors, CB1 and CB2. These receptors  are found in our immune system and nervous system, which play a role in moderating inflammation, our immune response to pathogens, motor control, appetite stimulation, and perception of pain.

When cannabinoids enter the bloodstream, these receptors are able to create signals within our body and assist with improving  internal homeostasis.

By supplementing your daily diet with CBD, you are able to enhance your functions of the Endocannabinoid receptors which can help with re-balancing your natural processes and systems. These receptors are found in the human brain, spinal cord, tonsils, spleen, and white blood cells.
